Applications

The Raptor Spark® Thermal Probe RS-TP02 monitors temperature rises within an enclosed vessel using advanced thermostatic technology. When a rapid temperature increase occurs and fixed threshold set points are exceeded, the built-in alarm function activates—making this probe an ideal solution for fire protection in dust collection systems.

The probe features a 6-inch (150 mm) steel stylus that can be inserted directly into areas such as silos, cyclones, or filter units, while keeping the electronic circuit and cable connections outside the monitored area. Its cast aluminum enclosure provides IP65 protection, and the internal circuitry and sensor are embedded in a two-component resin, enabling installation in challenging, dusty environments. The thermal probe is also suitable for use in ATEX Zone 22.

Additionally, the system is complemented by a Thermal Probe Mounting Kit available in Stainless Steel AISI 316L or Anticorodal Aluminum. The mounting kit includes a highly thermally conductive paste that eliminates air pockets between the probe electrode and the mount, thereby improving thermal response time. Furthermore, airtight rivets and a silicone foam gasket are provided to create a secure, airtight seal; this allows for the probe to be removed during operation without interrupting dust collection and helps prevent material leakage-enhancing safety for personnel and the environment.
